January 2007 HOA board meeting
Happy New Year! The homeowners board board held it’s first 2007 board meeting on January 8th. Due to vandalism the buzzer outside the front gate is being repaired. The board voted to remove the listing of names outside the front gate.
A reminder is included that door mats are not permitted in the east building – they damage our carpets. If you have one please move it inside your unit.

Happy holidays
There is generally very little to discuss in December so the HOA board did not meet this month. The only items of note are that a new door is being installed in the garbage room, our elevator was vandalized and subsequently fixed, and that a unit on the 5th floor has developed a minor leak that we are having fixed.
Happy holidays to all residents of the Ambassador II Condominiums.
Elevator maintenance
Our elevator has been damaged and has been shut off temporarily as a safety measure. Our elevator maintenance company has been called and will be out to fix the elevator shortly. In the meanwhile please excuse the inconvenience and use the stairs. We will have the elevator back in operation as soon as possible.
Update: Elevator was fixed same day by Thyssen Krupp.
November 2006 HOA Board meeting
The November monthly board meeting featured further discussion about the watering system, and potential updates to the association bylaws to further clarify parking policy. The board would like to remind all residents to please park only in your assigned parking spot, and to center your car in your spot to make it easy for your neighbors to park as well.

Parking announcement
The Ambassador II homeowners board would like to remind all residents to please park only in your assigned spot. When you are parking also be careful to park in the center of your spot and pull all the way in so as to make it easier for your neighbors to park their vehicle.
In the past week we have towed a car that was parked illegally at the request of the parking slots owner. We would like to add a friendly reminder to never park in the dentists spots – they are the dentists property and they will have vehicles illegally parked in their spots towed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
October 2006 HOA board meeting
The October homeowners board meeting this month featured several residents present to discuss a dog owners forum. Please view the minutes for information on joining this forum if you are a pet owner – all are welcome to join and take an active part in shaping the future of pet ownership at the Ambassador II condominiums.

Security in the Communications Room
Over the past few months we have had problems with security in the equipment area that contains our phone, fire sprinklers, and the East building cable equipment. This equipment is housed in a room that is owned by, and that we share with, Ambassador I. No deliberate damage has occurred, but we are having problems with items being stored in our area that has inadvertently caused problems. To solve this, we have installed a gate that will secure our infrastructure a little better.
If you are having telephone service added (East or West building), or if you are having cable installed (in the East Building only) you will still need to arrange to have the main door unlocked. This is as it has been for several years. In addition, you will need to unlock the gate into our new equipment area. Your building key is all that you need to unlock the gate. This does mean that you will need to be home when the phone or cable installer is on-site. This is usually the case anyway. We are NOT giving keys to the gate to Phone or Cable installers. By the way, the lock will retain your key until the gate is re-locked, so you will need to stay there until the installer is done. If you leave your key and trust the installer to return it, and they don’t, the key replacement rules apply. If you need a new key, the charge is $100 (which goes toward the cost of re-keying the building), plus a $15 key charge. See the Rules and Regulations for key charge details.
